What is the different between turibine-wheelshot-blasting and sand blasting?

The difference lies in the means of acceleration used for the abrasive material. For turbine-wheel shot-blasting, a turbine wheel is used for the acceleration of abrasive material. This is achieved with the aid of compressed air in sandblasting.

It puts small dents on the surface to give a finish where required and helps in wear resistance of the surface.
