What is the basic method of de-rusting?

After rolling, because of the uneven cooling shrinkage and various influences in transportation and stacking, the deformation and corrosion of steel will occur. The surface of the steel will also be oxidized and corroded before coating the structure.

The basic method of de-rusting:
1.Manual de-rusting (manual de-rusting, manual mechanical de-rusting)
2.Mechanical de-rusting (shot blasting/shot peening)
3.Chemical de-rusting (pickling)
4.High-pressure water de-rusting
1.Manual de-rusting
Disadvantages: low rust removal efficiency, poor quality, dust on the human respiratory system has a serious impact
Tools: wire brush, scraper, hammer, shovel, hammer etc.

Usage: A, to repair local defects
B, clean the parts where mechanical de-rusting is difficult to achieve, such as narrow cabins

2.manual mechanical de-rusting
Advantages: higher rust removal efficiency and better quality (compared with manual de-rusting);
Tools: electric wire brush, pneumatic needle beam, pneumatic hammer knock rust remover, rust remover, tooth type rotating angle grinder (#50, #100, #320, #600 and other sandpaper)
Disadvantages: dust emission is so large which does greater harm to the human body

3.shot peening de-rusting
Definition: shot peening process transfers abrasive through compressed air generated by the air flow so as to generate the high-speed of 60-80 meters per second acting on a workpiece; use abrasive impact, cutting and friction to remove metal surface rust and other pollution, so as to strengthen and clean up the workpiece.
The system composition: shot peening system consists of compressed air, shot peening tank, spray gun, shot peening chamber, steel shot recovery device, ventilation, and dust removal, etc..
Advantages: The utility model has the advantages of high rust removing efficiency and good quality, and can thoroughly clean all impurities on the metal surface.
Definition: shot blasting uses centrifugal shot blasting machine rotating impeller to make the iron ball or other abrasives generate high speed and act on the surface of the steel to remove the surface of steel oxide, rust and dirt process.
