What are the different types of blasting?

Blasting is the techniques of removing dust, coating, polishing of different surfaces. There are many types of blasting process available according to the requirement like shot peening blasting. It puts small dents on the surface to give a finish where required and helps in wear resistance of the surface.

The different types of blasting:

  • Bristle blasting

  • Sand abrasive blasting
There is most common way of blasting and we called it sand blasting. It uses small grains of garnet for removing coating or polishing a surface. It is composed with the stream of compressed air that helps in acceleration of the particles while water blasting uses high pressure water guns to clean surfaces. They are available in both big and small sizes so they used in home as well as in industry also.
